This is the version of Fox in a Box that Quilter’s Cupboard in Ankeny, Iowa has kitted up for sale – adorable, no?!
I love the fun, festive look that the primary red and blue and bright green colors give this version – perfect for a generic, non-gender-specific, baby or toddler quilt.
Trina quilted this for the shop owner; I thought you might like to see some of the details:
On our cover quilt, we used one reddish-brown print for Fox #1 (that little sweetheart above), and a different reddish-brown print for Fox #2 (the cutie-patootie below); in this version the head and bodies of both foxes are made from one print, and the tails from the other brown print (same yardage is used either way you make it, so it is up to you which way you like best!)
I apologize, I don’t know off hand what fabric line this is (I believe the geese and binding prints are all from the same line) but I love the print on the binding, chevrons cut on the bias = binding perfection!
If you have any photos of your version of our quilts, be sure to share them with us via email or add them to the pool on our Flickr page!
